Integrated PV Windows
December 6, 2016
We have installed building integrated photovoltaic (PV) windows in the passage between the two faculty buildings in collaboration with Slovenian companies Bisol and Letrika Sol.
PV windows are made of two-sided solar cells, which convert outside and inside light into electricity. Produced electricity is fed into the faculty’s grid using micro inverter. Current power and cumulative produced energy are available at the webpage together with actual weather data. More information about the system.
Additionally we have created a new section in our webpage called Applications, where we present our demonstrative photovoltaic projects. There you can also find our 17 kW solar power plant situated on the faculty’s roof, which is producing electricity since 2010.
